I know it isn't quite December 4th, but I wanted to start early to try to get as many responses as I could...

Every year I start a Kevin appreciation thread during this special time of year and ask that if Kevin's performances have touched you in any way, please leave a message here to let him know... On December 4th (his birthday) I will email Kevin a link to this thread to wish him well on his special day.

So, I guess I'll be the first to start the birthday love...

The year began with "City of Angels" for me and didn't end until seeing you sing your tribute to Jerry Herman at this year's Ovation Awards... There were A LOT of shows and performances in between, but a few of my favorite Kevin moments this year were:

1. Hearing you sing your hilarious "Brokeback Mountain-esque" version of "I Know Him So Well" at Valley Musical Theatre's Fractured Broadway Concert with Sean McDermott... It started out hilarious and then turned into something quite amazing... By the end everyone was shocked at how vocally stunning it was - really, it was one of the most memorable performances all year.

2. My favorite performance this year of yours had to be your role in "Johnny Guitar". Not only was it perfectly cast, but I don't think I laughed as hard as I did on closing night during the end of "Tell Me A Lie" (when someone in the audience screamed when you ripped your shirt open) That was hysterical!!

3. My favorite show that you did this year had to have been "It Came From Beyond" - the music was extremely wonderful and catchy, the story was SO cute and hey... you were onstage 98% of the time - how could I not like it?

In any case, Kevin - I wanted to wish you the best birthday ever!! Thank you for ALWAYS being such an amazing supporter of the site and for being such a lovely person! Lots of love to you and Julie this holiday season and I hope your birthday is as special as you are!!
